Welcome to Stacking the Shelves. Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga at Tynga's Reviews. This is where we showcase books we have received or bought during the week.
This week I have a fairly small haul, but a good one! There are two e-galleys for review, and I got three review books in the mail. That's right. The publisher's loved me this week. I don't know what I did, but whatever it is, could you tell me so I keep doing it?
Tin Star by Cecil Castellucci (Solicited from pub-Thank you to MacKids Books!)
Here, There, Elsewhere: Stories from the Road by William Least Heat-Moon (Unsolicited from pub-Thank you to Little, Brown!)
Sex & Violence by Carrie Mesrobian (Unsolicited from author-Thank you to Carrie Mesrobian and Carolrhoda Books!)
The Drowned Forest by Kristopher Reisz (Thank you to Flux Books.)
Far From You by Tess Sharpe (Thank you to Disney Hyperion.)
On the blog this week:
Starting with Monday, Kara posted a review of The Explanation for Everything by Lauren Grodstein. Considering the author is an Atheist, I expected more.
On Tuesday, Lyn and Kara posted their Top Ten Book Turn-offs.
Lyn talks about her hobby, letterboxing, on Wednesday. It was a hit!
Kara has a dual graphic novel review for Boxers and Saints by Gene Luen Yang on Thursday.
Finally, on Friday Lyn posted a review for The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making. Ed note: I just read this review as I was typing up this post, and it teared me up. Nice one, Lyn!
