Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week's topic is Books I Wouldn't Mind Santa Bringing Me. This is a fairly easy topic although it means I will have to search all my wishlists and Goodreads shelves to see what I want the most. However, I am not asking for any books for Christmas this year. I have ENOUGH. But they are there for when the book-buying ban is over.
So anyway, I've searched all my lists and this is what I came up with!

8. Elemental by Antony John
9. Skylark by Meagan Spooner
10. The Friday Society by Adrienne Kress
There are SO many I want. This is just a few of many, but they are the ones I want the most because most of them are books that other bloggers have recommended to me either by word of mouth, or through their reviews. The only exceptions to these are Reached and Elemental. I've added those because they are books from authors I trust or series I am already invested in. The rest are all blogger recommendations and they are books I have been promising to read for a LONG time now.

The Handmaid's Tale!! One of my FAVOURITE dystopians!! And I've heard awesome things about Libba Bray but have only read one of her books -- I must change that!

You haven't read Jellicoe Road or The Boyfriend List yet? Those are 2 of my FAVORITES. (Though very very very very different from each other)

DeleteSo many awesome books on your list! Elemental and Skylark are ones that I want to read. I want to read Reached eventually, but I think I am just going to get it from the library. I was very bored with Crossed and am really just finishing the series because I read the first two and I feel like I have to read the last one.
ReplyDeleteI liked Crossed but it was nowhere near as good as Matched was, so I get it. I am just invested in this series in a crazy way. :)

For now? Yes. But only because I am trying to save for other things that I need. Then it will be back to the books. I just need to really watch my spending.

DeleteI wasn't a huge fan of Going Bovine, but The Boyfriend List and Jellicoe Road are INCREDIBLE. I also desperately need to pick up Elemental and The Friday Society! Amazing list, Kara - I hope you get these books this Xmas! :)
