Welcome to Stacking the Shelves. Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga at Tynga's Reviews. This is where we showcase books we have received or bought during the week.
This week I went to Barnes and Noble with the hubster and I bought two books. I don't think I've ever left a B&N with only two books. Kind of proud of myself.
I also received a book for review from LibraryThing and Random House.
Kind of a small haul this week but it's still more than I normally get. I have a picture below and links to the books on Goodreads.
For Review:
The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh
Why: I think I might be the last blogger to read this book, but I've wanted to read this one for awhile. Most of the reviews are fantastic and the subject matter seems really interesting to me. Now I have a reason to get to it sooner.
Bought:
Seraphina by Rachel Hartman
Why: Well, several reasons. The reviews for this one are almost all gushing. Especially this one and this one. The author also makes me want to read it. Rachel Hartman is an awesome person with a fantastic attitude. I will admit the blurb doesn't do much for me, but I trust my blogging friends and so I bought it.
The Forsaken (The Forsaken #1) by Lisa M. Stasse
Why: This was a purchase I made on a whim. Every so often I do this. I haven't looked at the reviews and I don't know if they are any good. The blurb interested me and I thought the cover was kind of different, so I bought it.
And that's it for me this week. Leave me a comment below and I will come see the new additions to your shelves! :)

I adore The Language of Flowers! Somehow that book reminded me of Blackberry Wine by Joanne Harris. Beautiful! Also I'm so jealous about Seraphina. NEED to read this book! Enjoy all your reads, Kara! ;)
