In My Mailbox #20

Huge, HUGE mailbox this week. First of all, I paid a huge visit to my local independent bookstore, Fiction Addiction, this week and I picked up a load of books. So there's that. Plus, I got two review books in the mail this week. It truly would be an ideal week for a vlog, but I'm not loving the way I am looking right now, so I'm going to pass and do pictures instead.

For Review:

The Odditorium by Melissa Pritchard (Thanks to LibraryThing and Bellevue Literary Press)
Wild: From Lost To Found On The Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed (Thanks to Knopf Doubleday)

I Bought:

Harbinger by Sara Wilson Etienne
Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood
Illuminate by Aimee Agresti

Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler
13 Curses by Michelle Harrison

The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom
The Art of Hearing Heartbeats by Jan-Philipp Sendker
Dreams of Joy by Lisa See

A Walk Across the Sun by Corban Addison
Running the Rift by Naomi Benaron

PHEW! That's all the pictures. I also got approved for a couple of books from NetGalley. They are:

In the Shadow of the Banyan by Vaddey Ratner
Grave Mercy by R.L. LaFevers
Hanging by a Thread by Sophie Littlefield

It's hard not to go NetGalley crazy, but I only request what I really want to read these days. I haven't fallen behind yet. It's important if you want to keep getting NetGalley books to keep up with your reviews and your reading. You have to prove you are a responsible and dependable blogger. Because of that, I rarely get declined for requests anymore. I'm not saying this to lecture, it's just because I see bloggers all the time saying that they don't get to their NetGalley books, or they are so behind. Don't let that happen to you and only request what you have time to read.

That's it for me this week. What's in your mailbox??

  1. You're so right about the Net Galley spree. I'm in deep doodoo. :(

  2. I can't wait to read Bittersweet. I started reading it on Pulse it and it was so good. I hope you enjoy everything you got this week. Here's my IMM!

  3. Love your blog! Such a great design!

I bought "Born Wicked" and "Harbinger" too! :) I met both authors last weekend, along with the rest of the Breathless panel, and they were all sooooo sweet!!

Can't wait to read them! :)

  4. What a great week for books! I have Born Wicked and I'm looking forward to reading it and I can't wait to read Bittersweet!
